    hello to all.

I am new to this site and laptop problems and am looking for help with a regedit/userinit problem. when i turn on my laptop and login i am greeted with a very nice message that i cant get rid off.its a regedit message which asks would i like to import the information from userinit.exe.it gives me 2 options yes or no.if i press no my laptop continues to work as normal and if i press yes another message pops up and says the information could not be added because it is not a binary file.it is a small problem but its more annoying especially when other people use my laptop and don't no what to press when they see it.

i realize this could be the work of malware.i have done numerous scans of different antivirus ect and have rid my laptop of anything i could find.i also repaired my operating system with a xp recovery disc this did not fix the problem.i read on another form that the registry value data should look like this: C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe,

my registry value data looks like this C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe,C:\WINDOWS\regedit C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe,

what is the easy way to get rid of this problem. my operating system is windows xp version 2
