REGEDIT delete

On my wife PC there is this Borderbund Print Shop program that for some reason is not running anymore. It fails with an error 5 and states some thing to the effect that it's been installed on to many users. Not sure why because this is the only user and it was working fine until a week ago. I've tried uninstalling and reinstall it but it still fails. After uninstalling it I went into the REGEDIT and found that it still in there. Would it cause a problem if I go into REGEDIT and delete any dir the pertain to Print Shop?
Would anyone know?

 

It's actually probably a good idea to remove all traces of PrintShop from the registry after uninstalling and before re-installing. There's a little tool called RegScanner (I think) that's a free download in the Registry section here at MajorGeeks that makes searching the registry alot easier. You type in PrintShop and it'll list every registry key that matches. The std. regedit search will stop everytime it finds a match, and that can be tedious....

OR- you can run CCleaner, use the Issues button, and remove all the reg keys that way... it's probably WAY easier and faster....

 

I've tried CCleaner which will not remove it. I will try the other one..

 

Regscanner finds lot's of Broderbund but no option to remove the entry.

 

If the program was installed with a proper Windows installation procedure, then your best shot is to download, install, and run the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility. Scroll down to the program which installer information you want to remove, select it and click [Remove].
