I bought a new WD black and tried to get it registered.

All the capcha rubbish had me baffled. Does anyone know a direct link to do this?

Not even customer service was available in any contact form without some security bs. What are they thinking?

    Ehow might be another lead.

Quite possibly if it is hard to register, people won't bother then if a hd goes bad within the warranty period WD won't have to replace it because it was never registered. So it saves them money.

No I did not find this and I don't know how I got into such a jamb. It may just need different eyes on it.

Thanks for the link and I am going to fill it out just now.

I got through it with someone on the support line. He had the form right there
    ready to do.

Thinking through I noticed there was a way to get the puzzle verbally if you are
handicapped. That might work in a pinch but I have no speakers on this rig
    I'm writing from.

I didn't blow up at the guy once through the phone system but I asked his to pass along the problem for assistance to others in the future.
