Registery ANYONE?

Hi...

I'm a newbie who doesn't know diddly squat but I tried to fix my "only the best" Home Search Assistant by following those complex steps. I partially did it correct but I think I might have accidently deleted something that might have not been a bad file but a true regestery code. How much will this affect my computer? Anyways.. My real questions is if I must delete these other registry files I found in my com... HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/InternetExplorer/Main/Search Page or Use_Search Asst or Default search URL....
Can someone check it out?

Some reason My computer still isn't fixed even though I did most of what must be done.
It keeps freezing when I enter windows from normal mode. Safe mode is fine.

Ooops

I forgot. THANK YOU SO MUCH GUYS... It worked saving my computer but now I must constantly be on the look out. I still need to know about the registry question. I got back into window in normal mode finally and I ran Window registry clean up from your software area. It didn't do much, i think the probelm of freezing just disappeared... well. I recognized one of the 04 is startup NTUser dat. What is that? I think its fine.. I'm just curious on what it is since it's so different from the others.
