    Question:

In register HKEY_CLASS_ROOT is the subkey ‘’mhtml’’ a valid file? And if so what is the default setting? I have WIN XP PRO and do not wish to locate a prior recovery point. Spybot nor Norton detected any exploit as in MHTML redirect.exploit. Thank you. Tarod.

    thank you
i rechecked mhtmlfile and though i did not know the correct REG_SZ in mhtmlfile/shell/open/command was correct in.."C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -nohome. i did however redo a HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/microsoft/internet explorer/main... i reset local page to www.msn.com. there was a hidden redirect prior. i did reset other register subkeys as well. no redirect on reboot. thank you for your time and answer....tarod
