So I've heard the registry cleaners or maybe more the defraggers are dangerous and likely to cause more problems that they are worth.

    Can anyone comment on this?

    Recommend good/safe cleaners/defraggers?

    Thanks,

    Hi

Which Windows version you using? can be crucial to supplying what app works best, guessing your on XP?

Part of your question above was already answered yesterday here and the Registry cleaner and PC cleaner I woudl suggest stands the same option.

As for the other part of your question if its about Registry Defragmenters, then dont bother they really wont do much as the registry is not that large and doesnt really fragment enought to warrent using an application to defrag it, you can use one NTREGOPT but for the gain you will get, the downside in messing up your registry is not worth the risk, can backup your registry using this if needed ERUNT
