Registry restore wizard

    I've been trying for some time now to fix my net-book, using various method's posted by people.
    The problem is WINDOWS/SYSTEM32/CONFIG/SYSTEM file corrupt/missing.
    I've managed to get Hiren's Mini Xp up using a flash drive, but the system restore wizard doesn't seem to do anything.
    I'm at my wits end. :cry

    Does anyone know how I can fix this poxy file/s?
    P.s. I have NO optical drive.

    It's all good now m8.
    I eventually put Xp Pro on the poxy thing via flash-disk, using Hiren'sBootCD... It worked. :major
