Registry scanner won't open

I use WinXP Home(Sp2) with IE 7.0.I have been using XR Repair Pro 2007 to keep my registry healthy.It has worked for months but suddenly about 10 days ago every time I tried to open it I got a message advising,"XP Repair Pro has encountered a problem and needs to close." I've goone to control panel-add/remove and tried /to repair but didn't help. I then uninstalled and reinstalled the program and when I again tried to run it got the same message. Did a disk scan,,ChkDisk,virus and malware scans etc nothing helps. Ideas please
