Does anyone know of any resources for home automation systems that can be controlled via the web?

For instance, I'd like to be able to control lights and other appliances, as well as adjust the thermostat from anywhere.

Also, I'd like to get a security system that will call my cell phone when it is set off. Do typical security system companies that offer monitoring systems have any flexibilty or room for customization? For instance, I'd like to get one of those cameras that you can mount outside and veiw via a web browser, but I'd like it to also alert me via email or phone call when it has detected motion or the door bell has been rung.

Is there one system out there that can act as a security system that I can remotely manage, yet also allow me to control lights, etc from the same interface?

    Thanks,

    -Steve

Just watched a gadget show on UK TV in which one of the presenters has set his hoem up with such a setup your looking at, seems from what I was seeing that you can add many compatible items to it and comtrol it via the web.
