Hey All, I am looking for a remote solution that I can dial into as well as get to through the Inet. I was on vacation and I guess my IP changed (first time in months) so I could not find my way 'home'. I figured if I could dial in and fix that issue then I could go back to the Net... kinda failsafe. I plan on getting a voice modem for answering service anyway so why not use it for multiple purposes.
I know I could get an dynamic DNS service but I don't want to... any ideas on which remote software would work with dial-up?

This is for XP Pro also...

I have two ICQ accounts-- one for home and one for my laptop. You can limit IP visibility to select people on your contact list. Unless something happens at home where my ICQ disconnects and then does not successfully re-connect, I always know the current IP. I consider this a 99% effective solution. My fallback is that I have web-based access to my webhost server mail log-- there I can see what IP my home machine most recently checked email from. But if I see no activity there, I know my home machine is down.
