I have a removable disk(f:) on my PC but there is nothing in and it's empty. How can I remove it?

It doesn't exist, it's only on the PC.

There are 2 things you can try. (1) Plug it back in, the right click on it and select Eject and follow the prompts.

If that does not work and you are sure there are no removable drives attached, shutdown Windows, power off the computer, then unplug the computer from the wall for about 15 seconds. If this is a notebook unplug and remove the battery. Then see if it comes back.

A 'removable' disk is either one connected by a USB cable, or it is a data card that slots in.
A 'non-removable' disk is generally one that is inside the system or maybe it is a partition of an existing disk.

What externally connected USB devices do you have?
Both my USB connected printer and mobile modem show up as Removable Disks.
