Removed anti-virus 2010 GT, now i cant load Explorer.exe

    I deleted the program files for anti-virus 2010 gt and upon restarting the machine, explorer.exe did not load. I have no icons or desktop. only a blue screen. Iam able to access the task manager. I have no explorer.exe or recycle bin from what i can see. Plaese help me.

    Safe mode gives the same results. I found recycle bin. I restored virus folder and nor I have windows eplorer again. I need to remove this virus. I did notice that before my destop loaded, I get a pop up to startup antivirus gt. The only option to select is yes or it atuo starts in 1 minute.

    I ran MBAM it found 61 infections , i removed them and after a restart the desktop appeared to work just fine. I removed the AVGT program and deleted the program folder. my friend was present while i was doing it and he decided that it was fixed enough and he wanted his laptop back. I guess this case is closed until he decides to play with porn without protection. Thanks for the help

    Next time he gets infected then perhaps he should come here himself to run our malware removal procedures. Might make him think twice about his surfing habits if he does not have someone to come and do it for him.
