Hi, I'm new and I need help. I don't know enough about computers to know what to do when problems present. I have Dell e1505 and have mcaffee on it. I tried to remove unwanted programs but I don't know if I did it right or if they were actually necessary or not. I went to 'my computer' and 'add or remove programs'. Now anytime I open internet explorer or I get a popup saying 'insert the ms office small business edition 2003 disk and click ok' so I click cancel. I get a series of similar popups to which I click cancel. Finally my homepage opens. I don't even have office but have had trials. How do I make it stop?

This is probably just remnants for old programs.

Try this . Click START - > Then RUN in the box type 'msconfig' (no quotes).

A window will come up. Click the Start Up tab.

Uncheck the items that appear to be MS Office related (Will have a command line something like: C:\program files\ office )

    Then reboot.

Thanks for your response. I tried this but there's nothing in that list that's office related. Is there anything else to try?
