removing office 2003 and installing office 2007

win xp sp2 32-bit

i have office 2003 installed. i want to install office 2007. what are the steps? should i remove office 2003 first? any safe links to downloading office 2007?

 

The only safe (and allowed) link is from microsoft.com or a reseller.

Otherwise, they co-exist, you can install or uninstall them in any order.

TCK, I can verify that I use my training machines with 2003, 7, 10 and 13 loaded so I can do side-by-side's of services, and I can also run Macros and VBs for testing purposes.

Of course... the only way to uninstall any of this is a system wipe-out, reformat and then I'll only load the one I really want! Otherwise, I know I'll have hundreds of megs or even a few gigs of old-software 'droppings' left behind.

I wish I could charge Microsoft for all the wasted disk space they force on my computer.

 

2003, 2007, 2010 can all co-exist together on the machine. You do not have to remove one to install the other. You do have to associate files to open with the newer edition, if you are going to be working mainly with the newer version of Office.

 

lol Christine, me too! but i know i just don't know how to make the most of it. i'm wondering if wise program uninstaller would take care of the "droppings". do anybody know? thanks for sharing your experience.
