Removing Unwanted Nvidia Scanning?

I just installed my latest Nvidia driver which comes with GeForce Experience. It automatically starts scanning through a predefined directory list, and started adding in a bunch of programs and non-games stuff to the list (which was not what I want). I removed the directory, but the stuff it found up to that point was still in the list. I tried removing the journalBS.jour.dat and journalBS.main files as recommended by others online who have this problem, but it just ended up corrupting the driver and I had to reinstall.

I was able to catch it before it started scanning and remove the directories, so no new apps are added. But the same old six I had before keep's popping back into the list (I assume from some old cache or something). Anyone know how to remove these in the screenshot/attachment. I have already removed the folders, so no new ones should be added. Just need to get rid of the old entries.

If you don't have a pre-update image you can fall back on you could try system restore. If that seems to help then do a manual cleanup to remove left over files. This problem is caused by just clicking the default install instead of looking for custom or advanced option where you can deselect anything you don't want.

I did the custom install (as I have many times). But I do want the program. I like some aspects of GeForce Experience (like the ease of use driver updates). I don't want it scanning directories and adding Adobe Bridge out of the blue to my games list. And after I remove the folders and the NVIDIA files, I certainly don't want it repopulating it from old files from some other source.

So, my question remains; where is it pulling these old scans from if not the ones I already removed in the NVIDIA program data folder? It's finding them somewhere right?
