removing WinME - happy new year

thought i might new years clean my c drive which has ME on it. i have been running xp pro on d drive for quite some months now. am i asking for trouble uninstalling ME from c and if not what in your mind would be the correct procedure w/o harming the d drive. thank you and hope everyone has recovered! p.s. ME came preinstalled and do not have installation disc

no data of worth on c, everythings on d, i have office 2k on both drives (shouldn't be a problem just uninstalling the version on c should it) thought i'd use d for media files etc. thanks
