Repair exe

Is there a way to repair exe files that have been healed from viruses and still are corrupt?

If the .exe file is a system file (a Windows file), then you can do a repair install of Windows and that should replace it with a clean version. If it's an .exe file from an installed application, uninstall and reinstall the program. If you have the same .exe files on a clean system, you can try copying them over from the clean system; you really have nothing to lose if it doesn't work 'cuz it's not working now, so it wouldn't hurt to try. Other than that, I don't think think there's any way to really repair .exe files unless you know something about writing code; then you'd a need a de-compiler to de-construct the .exe and turn it into readable code, you'd look through it for the corrupt sections, rewrite them, then recompile and save the new .exe. In other words, not for the timid or the uninitiated.
