I want to repartition and reformat my hard drive. I have never repartitioned before, and don't know if there is a procedure. I'm running XP. I don't know any other info right now, I'm at work and my computer is dead to the internet. THanks.

Thanks Robster. I read the post. Is there a different procedure for partitioning or is it covered on reformat? Thanks, Simon.

There's a different procedure for partitioning.

Depending on what you want to do; Reformatting the entire drive and reinstall windows or just make a partition without screwing up the o/s. If you wanna keep the o/s you should use some kind of software, for example Partition Magic, and be sure to actually have the free space to do it in that case. If you wanna reinstall the o/s go ahead and download/create a boot disk. Then you can use Fdisk to partition the drive as you want, then format and install the o/s again.
