It is possible i have asked this question before but my memory is defunct.

When posting here on MGs sometimes you want to put a URL on the page but the filters block it so how do you replace it with a word or name that is underlined ??

Hi BIll. Copy the URL to clipboard, type the word you want as the link in your post, right click and hi-light it blue, click on the world symbol in the toolbar above the text you are typing, paste the URL there.

    Do you mean something like "A r s T e c n i c a" which gets starred out for some reason?

@ sibeer i do not have clipboard because i have a printing application on the PC and it automatically opens to that.

If i put a URL http://www.****************.com/ the filters block it but instead put a wor "HERE" and that will give the location of the URL.

There's not much you can do about that. The owners have had a spat with them and most likely others too, it's not an uncommon occurrence at other sites either, I work at one who do the same thing. I don't ask why as it's none of my business.:-D It is what it is.

Bill if you want a really great clipboard, check out Clipdiary :cool
    I use Clipdiary v3.4 at http://majorgeeks.com/Clipdiary_d5344.html
(I am too lazy to replace the URL with a name :-D, as I believe it is easier for newcomers to manage :-D )

You can save the last 10, 100, 1000, 2000 or whatever you set the figure to.
I even purchased the $$$ version I liked it so much.

I use it daily, with about 30 clips, to compile my daily post and wouldn't be without it. You can save your clips at any time, or clear them if you want to.
Ctrl-C copies to Clipdiary. Ctrl-V posts it, from Clipdiary, to your desired spot.

    Hope this helps.

    Bazza
NB: I think v2.7 was the last Free version.
