I am running XP home edition service pack 2
At start up I am running 35 processes with a commit charge of 214 MB give or take a few B.
My computer is running fine, better lately I have been doing some spring cleaning.
I found Comodo BOclean at MajorGeeks, I thought I would give it a try.
I downloaded it from a link from MajorGeeks.
The install did not seem to function properly.
After a restart Comodo BOclean would not update or report no update available.
I decided to uninstall Comodo BOclean.
After uninstalling and restarting I found a number of pieces of Comodo BOclean
still remaining in my computer, one of which was the installer I found in the WINNT folder.
    I removed these pieces manually.
I felt it was my duty to report this.
Do what you will with this info.

HI and welcome to the Majorgeeks forum

I have in the past run BOClean with no issues, so can only think that you had a bad install or your resident anti-virus caused issues in the install, this can happen at times when installing other security applications, which is why many software companies in their setup FAQ advise you disable your current resident anti-virus while installing as it "may" corrupt the install.

However on the point on this application leaving remaining software components on your PC, this sadly is a problem with not only BOClean for nearly all software you install, the un-installers really do not remove all components so BOClean is not unique in this, which is why many users, myself included have to run a cleanup app and registry cleaner to remove the remaining remnants, so major companies also supply special tools to cleanup whats left from their software once you have run their installer, Symantec is one such major company as their Norton Anti Virus doesn't fully uninstall everything.

I take your comments on board and agree with what your trying to portray in that really an uninstaller should fully uninstall everything, but sadly Majorgeeks only hosts these files for anyone to download and does not have the power to influence the developers of applications ( generally ) to change their software, for this you would have to contact the software supplier direct and this is Comodo's ( the makers of BOClean ) support line for issues.. Many thanks for bring this up as we do take these queries serious, sadly we are in same boat as you.

The Norton Removal Tool didn't work as perfect for me as I thought.
It left this on my computer.
