    Areet :)

I have a new desktop computer which I will be picking up in a couple of days, I also have an old ASUS notebook which won't boot past the BIOS screen so i'm assuming a broken hard drive. The laptop has VGA and HDMI ports so I was wondering if I could somehow use the laptop as a second monitor even though it won't properly boot as being a music producer this would be a bit of an advantage. I will be getting it fixed eventually so I know it will be possible then, just in the mean time it's just sitting there doing nothing.

sorry if you need more information.

    Cheers

    With no explanation?
Those connectors on the ASUS are for output only and unless you buy an LVDS to VGA adapter (which costs more than a hard disk drive) and take the LCD out of the ASUS, you've got no way to feed the video to the display.
