    << The installed version of Java on this compter is out-dated. Install Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 5.0 Update 7 available from http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp. Uninstall all older versions of Java on your computer, before installing the latest version of Java. >>

    Run HijackThis. Click the 'Do a system scan only' button. Place a checkmark in the box next to the following lines:
    Click on the 'Fix checked' button. Wait for HijackThis to finish; close HijackThis.

    Reboot to Safe Mode.

    Delete the following files:
    J:\DC++Shared\Programs\Mix Meister 3.04\_Xbox\__homebrew\editors-managers\xboxasm\dx-xboxasm-v0.1.rar
    J:\DC++Shared\Programs\__homebrew\editors-managers\xboxasm\dx-xboxasm-v0.1.rar

    Reboot to Normal Mode.

    Post a fresh HijackThis log.

    Thanks for the link I was having trouble locating update 7, I thought (wrongly apparently) update 6 would suffice.

    Funny, when I went through the link, I thought I would want
    Windows AMD64 Platform- J2SE(TM) Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 7
    download because I have a AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3500+ 2.19 GHz, 960 MB of RAM.

    However when I tried to install it I got a Windows installer pop up that said "This installation package is not supported by this processor type. Contact your product vendor".

    So instead I went with the
    Windows Platform - J2SE(TM) Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 7

    Not sure what impact (if any) this will have on the “HijackThis” log but here it is (after Reboot to normal mode).

    Files were deleted

    BTW thanks for your help.

    You can't use 64-bit software on a 32-bit OS. Your HijackTHis log looks fine.

    What problems, if any, are you having?

    Thanks Shadow_Puter_Dude, things are humming right along now. Just one slight glitch;

    Somehow I believe I've corrupted one of my folders (or 1 of the files inside are corrupted), can you recommend a repair procedure?

    The problem seems limited to only 1 particular folder, whenever I browse through other folders/files with explorer.exe, everything functions as normal.

    If the folder is readable, delete the corrupt file. Provided it's a document folder versus a program folder.

    Located the problem to 1 specific file in a folder. However, any attempts to delete the file result in the system locking up. Other files within the same folder have no problem. Any suggestions? (it is a document folder, the file originally was an .avi file).
