hey guys, anyone else have problems with this kind of virus? it has changed over the last couple of days, but has always been in the form of res://random.dll/index.html#random

its been really pissing me off, and i have tried the usual programs and have tried some guides which i searched for on google, but they didn't work. also, when i search for stuff on google, as soon as i click search or press enter, another searcher pops up. so say i search for "virus removal" in google, this will pop up: http://search-to-find.com/sec.php?qq=virus+removal&pin=96676

You have the very well know HSA aka Home Search Assistent aka Only the Best hijacker. See my step by step fix here: http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=38772

You did not say you OS (sort of implied it is XP). You could attempt the quick fixes of just HSremove and About:Buster only (both mentioned in the link I gave you). If you are real lucky, they may fix your problem without having to go thru the step by step. I doubt that they will though. Of late, I have not seen just a simple running of either of them work by themselves.
