    Hello guys!

can anybody suggest a solution to stop a resetting system time? seems that my bios looses its system time everytime i boot up. It always shows November 1, 2002!

further, the bios setting seems to get a different setting everytime. is my bios a problem? is this a sign that my pc needs replacement?

i am running a dual boot (linux-mdk.10 and win2k pro). its not connected to the network (for office only). thanks.

The motherboard battery may be worn out.

I'd be willing to bet money that this is a battery. :)

Thanks for your replies! I think i have to replace my bios battery then. Are there any cautions that i need to be aware of before i even take the batter off the board and replace it anew?

Thanks. I'm having a hard time pressing the del key and going over the set-up every time i boot up.

    Whew!
