    Well, just finished it.
    Great game, looks beautiful too.

Awesome ending and bosses are tough as old boots.

So after all this zombie killing and big beasty murdering I was looking forward to my reward.
Some unlocks, different play mode etc etc as it promises.

My very last save after the credits........Failed.

How much does that suck! lol

Apparently it is a bit of a bug, saved fine all the way through, not a single glitch.....then right at the end, dammit :(

That would suck! My Son and I are playing this on the XBOX360. We play here and there and are not very far into it. I hope this doesn't happen to us.:cry

Probably not on the Xbox, I havn't seen any reports. It only seems to be the PC version with problems, but it may be worth you double saving.

Now don't get me wrong, I didn't lose anything, my save game for the final boss is still in tact. I just can't unlock the goodies. Guess I'll have to see if I can find an unlocker or something.

I tell you now though, this game is BIG, it's so much longer than I expected.

The other Resi games were a good few hours but there was a lot of puzle solving and a huge amount of back tracking, running round with no enemies trying to figure out how to get somewhere. Resi 5 is not like that, very few real puzzles and hardly any backtracking.
It almost doesn't feel like a Resi game cos there's no real creep factor but the game as it stands is very enjoyable.

Just as a warning, the last few boss fights are tough, I've never pumped so much ammo into 1 enemy before, not even in Doom lol
Although the bosses wer'nt the biggest problem, some of the drone creatures can cause you major problems and you quickly become overwhelmed. Don't say I didn't warn you lol

Sounds like we are in for a real treat. We have run into a couple now that were quit difficult, so I can just imagine what the end will be like.
My Son is 10, so sometimes his thought process just doesn't quite do what it needs to do, but also at times has saved us. ;) I we ever get to the end and need help, I'll drop ya a PM! :-D

Good to hear that the final saves are there and not defunct. Maybe just play from the last checkpoint to get the unlock?? :confused

I did notice that this version does lack the puzzles, etc. that were in previous versions. Not sure why.

Yeah I have played from last checkpoint again, clearly a bug in the pc version, I may try reinstalling it and dropping my save game in, see if that works.
I'm not majorly miffed about it but it would be nice to play the extras.

As for puzzles, I think they went more for the action, in some ways it was nice because the other games got a bit tiresome on places where you would have to run from one end of the game map to the other and back again just to unlock a door. RE5 has that to a much much lesser degree but has a wider variety of bosses/mini bosses and drone enemies.
Like I said, great game, just didn't feel like a RE game.
To be honest if I wished they changed 1 thing it would be that god awful idea that you can't move while aiming or reloading lol
