Resolution and windowed mode mouse bugs

I'm not sure if this is the right area but I have only encountered these issues while playing games on my pc. I run an nvidia 9400 gt and a 23" hannspree monitor which advertised 1080p with 1920x1080 native res. My nvidia control panel says the max is 1600x1200 and this res appears decent on my screen while the 1600x900 stretches off the screen. This is odd to me because my screen is supposed to be 16:9. I am able to add a custo
res of 1920x1080 and this is the optimal image. I have all my drivers up to date and I want to know how I can cause my computer to recognize the 1080 As the native res like it's supposed to. Also when I play eq2 it will only appear to fit inside the screen when I run 1600x1200 even the screen res is 1920x1080. Another problem I have and I'm not sure if they're related when I try to play eq2 in windowed mode my mouse continuously pulls to the top left corner of the screen. The only way I can interact with other programs is to windows key + d and then maximize the program I need eg Chrome. I am also unable to resize the windowed Eq2 because as long as the eq window isn't minimized, my mouse cursor pulls to the top left corner. Any insight would be appreciated.
