Resolving STOP errors

While downloading updates from Micro$oft, I started to receive stop errors. Checking I found new video drivers for my PC, and updated them. After the update, I get a new stop error that I can't seem to track down.

Current Error
STOP: 0x0000008e (0xc0000005, 0xf5253928, 0xba168a20, 0x00000000)

I have spent quite a few hours trying to track down these stop codes to no avail.

Any sugggestions?

If its after the update try rolling back your driver to see if it stops the error.

That was the first thing I did. No better.

It only started when I was downloading some MS updates, which never completed.

You have a ram problem ....either too little or faulty.

That doesn't apply.

Odd thing is I ran a 4 hr burn test on the ram and no errors showed up.
The problem appears whenever I am not in safe mode.

It all started when I was doenloading MS updates the other day...

CAUSE
This problem is caused by a kernel-mode exception in the Tcpip.sys file that can occur in scenarios that use IPsec tunnel mode.

Funny...the problem started when loading a security update.

I gave up...I needed the machine running last night so..reinstall the OS.

I have some other issues to deal with like User names etc but I had to do it.
