restarting repeat

My computers been restarting itself and leaving me with 2 error messages .(WER4.tmp.dir00\sysdata.xml) After googling one of them I found both of them together and would like comments on what this web site says , Is my problem because of SP-2 files being incompatible with my hardware ? and is auto update the reason the problem returns every time I reformat?http://www.jolttheweb.com/winxp/windows.php , basically it says microsoft may be strong arming up toward vista , after we scrap our XP because of problems caused by microsoft. Doesn't that make microsoft ROGUE SOFTWARE? I have XP HOME pre SP-2 but have the disc .

 

Are you downloading and installing driver updates using Windows Update?

If so, don't; always use the hardware manufacturers drivers.

 

Yes I never update drivers myself . I know they run devices , but other than that if they get updated it's done by the auto updates . I have an e machine W2888 intel inside , XP home 2.80Ghz intel celron 80GB hard drive 512MB DDR SDRAM COMBO DRIVE INTEL EXTREME GRAPHICS 3D . How would I update drivers , and which ones ? I have gotten an error on graphics before,Today one was " The image can not be displayed due to low memory try closing windows " I had one open , and have lots of memory
