    Greetings all.
Firstly, how much info is on this site?? it`s huge lol

Secondly, my situation being, I bought a new laptop for my son with vista on and it has a nice restore batch file to execute whenever you feel like you need a cleanup.
So my question is, is it possible for me to create one of these restore batch files for windows xp on my pc?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi

Yes you can do similar and create a full image file of your HD as it stands now, so if its working of Image it regularly so that you always have a backup in case something goes wrong, to create one like the new PC it would need your PC to basically have XP reinstalled from scratch and basic software and all drivers installed, in my opinion too much hassle if your PC is working fine now.

So the current Image route is a goodun and this free software can help DriveImageXML (worth also with this app making a WinPE bootdisk in case PC is not bootable) however my favorite and current used one is Acronis True Image 2009, but for XP you can easily use one of their older versions in True image 10 or 11 for less $£¥
