Restore HP PC to Factory Settings

I have an HP t3065.uk desktop PC running XP.( i use this as a 2nd PC) I want to restore to the original factory settingsas it is now running very slowly. I have tried the following;
1: HP PC System recovery, and when I select the button to return to the original settings, the PC just re-boots.
2: i have "tapped" F11 key and when prompted and I select the option to restore to factory setting, I'm prompted for the the Administrator password, I input this and I'm presented with the C: Windows DOS screen.
On my PC , have the following letters attached to the various drives;
C : local Disk ( Operating system and files )
D: Local Disk ( Spare Hard Drive )
E: Recovery files.
F : DVD RW
G: DVD Drive
I : Removable Disk
J: Removable Disk
K: Removable Disk

It would appear it is looking at the C partition instead of the "E". How do I map to this to allow the resoration to start.

 

Most likely the restore partition is gone. You will need to use the DVD or CD that either came with the machine, or one that you created when you first got it, to restore back to a "Out of the Box" install. If you do not have the CD media, you can contact HP and see if still available, which may not, which means you would have to go to Windows 7 at this point.
