Restore lost program

    I am using XP and I seem to have lost my office 2003 program. I had it installed on my system and used it on my occasion but tried to access it today but it isn't there. I used START and program to look at what is installed on my system but Office 2003 is not there. I even tried to restore the system to an earlier date but when I resoted it to the earliest possible date (early Nov) my program is still not there. I know I used the program in October but the system does not give me chance to go back that far. How can I get my office 2003 back. I can' find the CD it came on. I can't recall deleting the program. Thanks.

    Check C:\Program Files and look for a folder for Microsoft Office. If it exists right-click it and select Properties. How big is it?

    If its not in the location that Sachs, mentions and also not listed in Add/Remove, then its not sadly on your PC now, do other people have access to this PC and would they have maybe uninstalled it on you!?

    Did you have to re-install your Windows version for any reason since the last time you used Office?

    Without the CD their is not much you can do really, if you have any proof of purchase and still have the licence key (but thats normally on or in the CD case) as they will only supply a replacement with a valid key, then you could try getting a replacement http://support.microsoft.com/kb/302822 I dont know what they charge for the media and shipping.

    Could try running this Magic Jellybean Keyfinder app and see if it finds your licence key, if not its another indication that Office has been removed from your PC.

    Other than that OpenOffice is a free and great alternative that opens and created MS Office compatible files.

    I check start and program it is not listed but when I go to add/remove program is there and the size is 1237 mg.

    I uninstalled Word 2007 for spell check issues,got ready to reinstall,I couldn't find it. Running Windows Vista
