I thought he was funny as hell but man did he live the hard life for a long time. Other famouse deaths: Reeves, Ritter, Eddie Guerrero, Jennings, Charles Bronson, Bob Hope, Cash, Barry White, Gregory Hines, and Hepburn. There have been others that I didn't know about that kinda shocked me like Gregory Peck, Mr. Rogers , Robert Stack, David Brinkley, and Nell Carter. I gotta say the first six (beginning with Reeves) were suprises and kind of more saddening. Even Hines' death was crazy.

I was so sad to hear of his death. He did have a hard life but paid dearly for it in the end. I am sure that the M.S. was hard on him. In some ways, his death was a blessing and yet in other ways .... as long as he was alive, he would have been able to benefit from a cure if one is ever available.

    May he rest in peace.

Somehow death always comes as a surprise, even when it should have been expected. Comes to us all sooner or later, and will probably surprise us when it's our turn too.

    Rest in peace Richard.

U know I forgot to add someone who is the biggest death of them all this year. The former POPE. That was shocking. Some people never even live to see the death or commity election of a new Pope. That is huge. JOHN will be made a saint, which is an indication of the level he held. I didn't agree with everything he said but liked the guy a lot. He reached out to a lot of different people and religions and visited so many nations. Pope of the people. I agree with that.

Yep hateuall, you are right. He was the pope of the people. I'm not Catholic but he was a great man. My shock was back a few years ago when Roy Rogers died. I thought he would live forever.
