I didn't realize that Les Paul started up a company that took predatory business practices to a all new high level and crushed innovation because it might lead to different choices in OS.

Bill Gates, no matter what you think of him, is a GIANT in his industry.
Les Paul was a GIANT in the music world.
Didn't mean this to turn into a rant.
    He will be missed!!!!

Wait... this is the guy behind the Gibson Les Paul?!?!?!

If that's the case, I will respectfully observe a moment of silence in honor of his memory. It's the least a music lover can do. :guitar

From the original piece of 4X4 with a pickup and strings on it, to the modern 'Ax'. Quite and achievement and an empire. R.I.P., Les.

at the age of 93, he was still doing weekly live shows.

I hope that I am still rocking that hard then, instead of what probably will be happening.

and sorry oldandconfusedagain, I couldn't pass up a shot about Gates.

Les Paul was a true innovator of the music industry, you could argue about Gates for a very long time, but no one would ever argue that without Les Paul, the music industry as we know it today wouldn't exist at all.

Yup BM, he certainly did change the music world for the better! Too bad there's not too much on youtube by him. Maybe his passing will spur some folks on putting up some vids they have of him.
