    Hi,

Here's what I want to do. I want to make a true copy of movie DVDs that I own. I do the same for CDs. I place a music cd in my drive and use Roxio to make a copy of it--so everything's identical, no compressing. Is this possible to do w/ DVD movies. Is it possible to rip a DVD to your harddrive? If so, what file format are DVDs in on the disk? For example, CDs are ripped to WAV, what are DVDs ripped to when they are non-compressed? Basically I want to make identical copies of my DVD movies so they are same as store-bought, no compression or loss of data. Is this possible, and what software would I need? Thank so much! Also, what kind of drive would I need, and how big would these files be if I were to rip a DVD movie to my HD?

    James
