    Hi there
I just did a two comp.scan and found that on my A Squared scan a file showed up a riskware.
    The supposed culprit was SDfix.exe
is it a threat or is it those so called 0 postives i keep on reading about.:D
I ran counter spy too as well Bite defender and Panda both came up negative when they came across it

It is neither! It is just a tool that you probably downloaded to help remove malware at some point in time. The word riskware does not mean something is necessarily bad. Also saying something is riskware does not mean a false positive is being given. A false positive is when they tell you something is bad when it is not. Many scanners will point out things they question as being a "risk" or "potentially unwanted tool", or they will use other similar terms. That just means you need to check into what this is and did you download it and do you know what it is. There are many good programs that can be used for bad purposes too. That is why you will see a variety of things (like remote access tools and packet capture tools) flagged as "riskware" or a "potentially unwanted tool".

In the end it comes down to your responsibility to keep track of what you install on your PC.

    You're welcome.

It is not something you need to keep anyway! Where is it located? You can just delete it since it is not something required by your OS. Just like other tools we use (SmitRem, SmitFraudFix, VundoFix...etc), they can all be deleted after using.

it was located in one of doc and setting folders i got
i also managed to get rid of a smithfraud in the same location
after using the panda active scan.showing it as a hacker tool lol
but i finished with that too
but there one thing that puzzling me right now my avast anti virus is picking the
activescan doc up as a virus worm
but cannt process it because it been used by another program
i have to look into that

it seems that panda software have added a panda active scan on my i.ex active x add on
i just have to work around it

Read step 6 of the READ ME again and note that this is mentioned.

i have read it through again and i have noted it is mentioned as a false negative
but it still detects it at start up
and the only way is to ignore it i guess

Yes or you could uninstall PandaActiveScan from Add/Remove programs and then delete any files it leaves behind. This is a well known problem between Avast and Panda and neither of them cares to fix it. It has been around from several years.
