Rogers Mobile Stick

If anyone has any experience with Rogers Mobile Sticks. Mine is not working, when I plug it in the red light comes on, but my laptop doesnt recognize it. The connection manager says No Broadband Modem. Was working fine then it just stopped.

 

i have used the telus stick, and currently using both rogers and bell highpseed internet sticks...

Seems like your computer isn't detecting the rogers stick. I can't remember if the red light means there is no coverage or what exactly, but regardless, the connection manager should still startup.

What type of system do you have, and more specifically, OS?

When was it last working, and did anything odd occur or was there any weird behavior the last time you were using it?

 

Yeah Red light means no connection, but I am not even getting that far. When it is searching for service it flashes red, mine is one solid red then dead. It does not detect on my laptop or my Desktop. I can't even call tech support as I use it through work and kinda wanna fix it before work knows t is broke. Is there a way to reset it directly on the stick? Obviously it is getting power just nothing past that.

 

i'm afraid not. What you can do if available is try the rogers stick on another computer and see if it works there. You say you want to fix it before your work knows it's broke. How did it break and is there any physical damage? Could be as simple as a sim card that is not securely connected into it's slot. Have you tried to reseat the sim into the slot holder?

 

Yeah I tried that and tried it on another PC, when connected to a PC without the software it acts as a Memory Card and it isn't showing up. No physical damage really it just stopped working. Happened before I rebooted the laptop and it sorked fine.

 

on the other pc does it attempt to load drivers and or software?

I would take it back to your work and let them know it is no longer working. How did it break?

 

It does nothing, I need it to work in the am before my office opens.

 

Got it working, I had to open the top and use a small screwdriver, the USB portion of the stick was bent, so it was getting power but not enough to connect. Thx for the help guys.
