Roguekiller really messed something up bad

So I'm fixing an acer aspire laptop for a friend, it's running Vista (bleh) and I determined that it had the "trojan horse Patched_c.LYT".

I followed a link to here: http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=262077 and tried running roguekiller just like it said. It did a scan and I pressed delete on the selected items, the program said it needed to restart so I hit "ok".

Now the computer won't boot at all, not in safe mode, not using last known good configuration, nothing... It starts to load the drivers, then bluescreens and just keeps doing that on a loop. I don't mind doing a total recovery on the system, but I need to rescue 16gb worth of pictures off of the thing first.

Are there any repair tools that I can use to get back into windows, or can I use a tool like Midnight Commander to put the tools on a usb stick?

Since we do not know what you removed, we really cannot answer your question. If you removed required Windows system files, you will need to replace them with a copy. Either from the hard disk or from an original Windows Vista boot CD.

Note that you should never follow instructions that are written for another user to follow.
