    Hi folks

firstly, many thanks for the advice. It's a great resource here. I've already ran through all of the steps on the Read and run this first sticky. I'm trying to troubleshoot this remotely for a friend using logmein so it's been a little awkward but i'm pretty sure I've followed everything ok.

I'll be back later with all the rest of the logs but I was hoping someone could take a look at the hijack this log in the meantime?

i seem to have gotten rid of a lot of spyware such as Adware roguesuspect and videoegg publisher, using the various tools in that sticky but still when I open IE I get a "you may be infected window afater a couple of minutes. It doesnt seem to happen in firefox

    please help!

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

I'm sorry but the READ ME does not ask for you to run HijackThis on your own nor does it request a HijackThis log from it. We need the logs from the READ ME. The MGtools program automatically obtains a HijackThis log from a properly installed version and it includes the log with others in the MGlogs.zip file.
