When I recently ran my mcafee virus scan, a message that says:

"The On-Demand Scan found alterations to code or data which may indicate that a rootkit is attempting to hide files, registry keys, processes or other items. If this scan fails to find anything then the computer should be scanned with McAfee PreScan or booted into Safe Mode and this scan run again."

When I rerun the scan in safe mode, it still comes up with nothing, but the message still appears every time that I run it.

I asked mcafee about the problem and they suggested that i run hijackthis and post the log on this forum.

    This is the log:

Logfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.2
Scan saved at 3:51:16 PM, on 3/4/2008
    Platform: Windows Vista (WinNT 6.00.1904)
    MSIE: Internet Explorer v7.00 (7.00.6000.16609)
    Boot mode: Normal

    Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry about that, I should have read the rules first. My log is now attached to this post.

And you still need to read the link I posted as a HijackThis log is not required. Other logs are, which incorporate HJT within them.
