RootRepeal issues

    I have two different computers (32 bit Window 7 & the other is Windows XP) that have been infected. I've been following the Cleaning procedures successfully, but getting stuck on RootRepeal.

    1. On my Windows 7 machine, I've disabled my Avast software and closed all browers and attempted to run RootRepeal but keep getting the following error message:
    FOPS - DeviceIoControl Error! Error code = 0xc0000024 Extended info (0x000000dc).

    2. On my Windows XP machine, with Avast disabled, I get the message "Initializing please wait", but nothing happens for hours. The message is displayed on the monitor until the unresponsive application was terminated in Task Manager.

    I've rebooted numerous time and attempted to run again and again but get the same result.

    Ideas?
