Someone I know has a problem with a program called Rosetta Stone:

"I bought the program Rosetta Stone and installed it ages ago, then lost the cds that you need to be able to use it. I downloaded the program as an .iso, and burned the imagine files to a cd (which it prompted me to do when I opened it). They don't work with the installed program on my computer. Anyone have any idea why?"

Does anyone have any idea what she is talking, and, if it's legal, can anyone help?

My guess is that if she bought the program "ages ago" (her words, not mine) the version she downloaded is not the version installed. She'll need to buy the program again, remove the installed program on her computer, install the new version and be sure she doesn't lose these CDs.

I have Rosetta stone installed on my PC and it runs without problems.

if she has a legal copy she can open the splash screen and from there log on to the official website which will update the drivers and it should then run.

now i am not saying it is so but a lot of copies of this are in the P2P market and if this is one of those there is no solution sorry.
