Router for phone line?

    My friend has a new laptop. He's been using dial-up with a phone line for an internet connection with his desktop pc. How can he use internet with his new laptop? Is there a router for a phone line internet connection, so he could then do wireless? Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance! Shanrene
