Is the router ip and the default gateway the same thing??

My Utorrent and Bitcomet were working absolutely fine till yesterday. But now both are blocking out all ports when I've done the portforwarding properly.

I do remember playing with the router ip settings. So I'm just wondering, should the router ip and default gateway be the same or different?

    HELP! :cry

Depends on the network setup, but for normal home usage it should be the same.

Oh yes... that makes sense. I think I've figured the problem out. Thank you :)
