    Hey,

I hope someone here can help me, I am so fustraited:cry

I have a home network set up with 2 desktop PCs and 1 netbook all running Win7.

My desktop is hard wired to the router, the other 2 are wireless.

I recently purchased a TV and AV receiver with network capabilites.

The 2 wireless PCs will connect and stream media to both devices.

My PC (hard wired) will not connect to either device. It will connect to the other PCs.

I can see the media devices in the network on my PC.

Here are my questions, Is my router no good? Is there settings on my PC that need to be changed?

PS My PC connected to the TV once and stream media, but never since.
PSS My router is a Comstar Wireless N.

    Thanks:)

What is the full model number of the router?

What is the make and model of the TV/AV equipment?

Do you have any firewalls on the problem equipment? If so, Try turning it off temporarily to see if access is granted.

I haven't done this on Windows 7 yet. I have set up some homegroups and this article goes into further detail about homegroups and how to add Network Media Devices to be able to stream http://blogs.msdn.com/b/e7/archive/2009/05/12/media-streaming-with-windows-7.aspx

That article is fairly extensive. I found it more helpful than this one, http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/...oom-with-Windows-Media-Center-and-an-Xbox-360 though that might give you some more info about adding some components and a range extender if you should ever need one.

    Hi

Yes please do answer the questions posed by shnerdly in post #3 as I'm just wondering if the devices and or the TV cannot handle two network inputs at once, eg. only wifi or ethernet at a time, I know my internet enabled TV will only do one at a time, you have to in the menu to the TV switch it from Wifi to Ethernet.
