John here running xp on a notebook with new wireless router / card adapter deal from BLITZZ.

Last night I had the trouble with my connection going dead every few minutes, but then coming right back. Now that seems to have disappeared, and I have a pretty good connection ... but at some point it goes dead (although it appears to be active). The only way to re-establish the connection is to unplug the router, and plug it back in.

    Any ideas?

Could be the Router, could be the Modem, and with less probability the computer.

Connect the computer directly to the Modem and try. If it works OK than you might need to take care of the Router.

Things seemed to improve on their own. Now about once a day I have to go unplug my router, wait a few seconds, then plug it back in. Then it doesn't go offline all day. Weird.
