I've been having some router problems recently. This is like the third router that im going to replace during a three year period. Now I'm thinking these things should last a little longer, or maybe I'm missing something.

Since yesterday I can't view my router configuration properly. I can log in fine but after that the pages take a really long time to load. Even when they're done loading, some of the images are not loaded.

    I have a D-Link DI-604 by the way.

Oh and I can connect to the internet just fine. This problem popped up without a reason. I haven't made any changes in several months.

I have same router had for about 2 yrs, it has worked flawless, I love it, also have generic five port switch connected to it.
My set up is running in stealth mode, I have one port opened for one of the kids to play online games.

If you have problems with configuration, simply reset router, there is little pin hole, stick paper clip in to reset, reset will return to factory settings, will also remove any password that may have been set.

As for slow loading of internet, unplug/remove all cables/ from cable modem for a minute then reattach, then on cable modem is another small hole stick in paper clip to reset modem.

I've been running the same model now for nearly two years, and I'm quite happy with it.

It occasionally behaved as you describe, until I updated the firmware to version 2.18. Since then, it has been very stable.

If the firmware in yours is older than v2.18, you might want to consider updating it. More info (and a firmware upgrade) is available at D-Link's website.

Thanks I'll try doing that. On the same day I posted the darn thing started working again. I'll try upgrading the firmware when I go back to the office.

Careful updating Firmware, If not done correctly, your hardware will be worthless.
