router trouble

i was given a linksys WRT54G router and i wanted to set it up so i could go online on my wii. now i set it up just like the instructions said and i try going online on my pc but i can't connect to any websites, my router blinks like it's working but im getting nothing also i get this little bubble telling me i have little or no connection but everything seems set up correct. i would really appreciate if someone could help me fix this problem.

im running windows xp sp2 and i have DSL

 

Plug the PC back into the router and run>cmd> ipconfig /all
write all these down. Put the router back inline with the DSL modem plugged into the WAN port. Then log into the router @ 192.168.1.1 (default) and make use those numbers in the corresponding fields.
