   I just hooked up a 3COM 3C888 Office Connect 56k LAN Modem (dialup) and cannot get phone calls. I am inexperienced, its' my first router. Does my firewall have anything to do with it? Any ideas?

   Did you put a Splitter (2 way connector) directly onto your fone wall socket .. 1 goes to router the other to the fone ??

   Dial up is dial up...you cannot get phone calls while on line..unless you have two separate phone lines.

   This product requires two phone lines. So I suppose the OP has two phone lines or he wouldn't have purchased this.
   I don't know how 2 lines works.
