rpc_stub error

I have started getting the following error when I try to uninstall a program :

'Error Number : 0x80070725
Description: Incompatible version of the RPC Stub

Setup will now terminate'

I have already tried 'Repairing IE6', reinstalling DirectX 8.1 and 'Restoring System Files' using 'System File Checker'. But nothing works.

I am also unable to 'Right Click' and 'Open in a new window' any links on a webpage. I don't know if the above 2 problems are related. But they have appeared in my pc almost simultaneously.

i saw in a similar ? to remove the file leaut32.dll that it fixed this problem i have been unable to remove this file even thru dos any help will be great ty.

i thank you 4 your quick reply but i cant get to the link you gave its my major problem amything in a secondary window will not open if you could paste the info on the link you gave to the window here i would be most great full.

SYMPTOMS
When you install a program that uses the InstallShield program, you may receive the following error message:
Unhandled Exception

Error: 0x80070725
Description: Incompatible version of the RPC stub.

CAUSE
This issue may be caused by any program that installs different versions of the Oleaut32.dll, Olepro32.dll, Asycfilt.dll, and Stdole2.tlb files (and possibly others). This may create a mixed file version environment with files that are not compatible with each other.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, use the appropriate method
