Hi, everytime I go on the internet, at least once or twice over the period of time that I am on it, I get a window that opens saying that a run time error has occured and do I wish to debug, could someone tell me what this is and what is actually happening, I have tried a couple of times to debug but have'nt got a clue what I am doing or what is actually happening, will this cause any problems.

    Re: Error codes in abundance

Hi Xflat, ok there's been a few of them pop up so here goes,
First one was, A run time error has occurred do you wish to debug, line 2, error: Syntax error.
Second one was, line 136, error: tpopc2 is null or not an object.
The last one occurred as I was coming onto the Major Geeks web site, line 77, error: event is undefined, they all seem to be different, they are then followed by various windows that is if I press the yes button, the first window, just in time debugging, please select a debugger, in the window it says "new instance of microsoft script editor", do you wish to select this debugger, I select yes and another window appears called step into remote procedure call and another window microsoft script editor (run), once I get to this it looks as though I'm supposed to do something with this window, only thing is I have'nt got a clue and leave well alone, any help would be appreciated if only to stop this from happening.

Should I assume you are running Internet Explorer? If so, at the top of your window, under "tools", internet options/advanced tab/ make sure "disable script debugging" is checked, and uncheck next box for "display notification about every script error"

    Re: Thankyou

Hi Detailer Dave, this might be a bit premature, however as I entered the Major Geeks web site nothing popped up, as it had been doing every time I entered previously, I did check the disable script box, although the other box was already unchecked, I'll keep an eye on these, thankyou.
